Grief

Grief is the result of loving someone from our soul. Grief is what happens when they leave us. I just lost a friend, no a sister, and the pain at times is overwhelming. Grief is a part of life that cannot be avoided. The one thing that gives us hope is that we will see them again and to know that to be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord, II Corinthians 5:8. Even knowing this the tears seem to flow. Weeping endureth for a night but joy cometh in the morning, Psalms 30:5. As in every other situation in life we have to focus on the positive, what is good in life. We have to hold fast to promises of God and move forward. Will we ever truly get over the loss of a loved one? I believe as long as we live we will miss those who we love, those who made an impact in our lives. But hope, will carry us through. The hope of our Saviour returning to get us and deliver us from this world. The hope that we will reign with him forever, He will keep us in perfect peace, but we must first want to be kept.
