Becoming Vegan

As long as I can remember I have had issues with my stomach and I have never been a healthy eater. So I decided to do something drastic to make sure I am taking care of my body, mind, and spirit. I have found yoga to be challenging and I accept the challenge, I shall conquer it! Vegan for my body and the Word of God for my spirit. I have been working on moving in love daily and not allowing anger and negativity to ruin or govern my day. What a journey, while it is challenging it is also very exciting to see how all this turns out. So far, being mindful and self-aware of my behavior and having positive thoughts and moving in love has been a win-win for me.

Today is my second day being vegan, wow what a transition. I don't think I have ever put so much thought into what I will eat. Surprisingly, it has not been as hard as I thought it would be. Yesterday I didn't eat breakfast, but for lunch I had tacos made out of Jack Fruit, so delicious. For dinner i went to my favorite restaurant and had eggplant in garlic sauce, oh my god, it was just mouth watering good. At the end of my day yesterday I thought, okay I can do this. Today when I woke up low and behold I was down 2 pounds! Breakfast today consisted of a vegan sausage and small hash brown, lunch a veggie bowl from Chipoltle. I definitely can tell the difference, no stomach ache, more energy and I am drinking more water. It's a whole new world and so far so good.
